Years later, traveling through Europe and different parts of the world, something unexpected happened. A scent in the air would suddenly stop me. A flower I had not smelled in years. A bakery that somehow reminded me of a cold mornings from long ago. A fruit market carrying an aroma that instantly brought me back to childhood in India — to moments, people, and feelings I had forgotten were still part of me.
And for a brief moment, time disappeared.

What fascinated me most was not simply the scent itself — but what it awakened. Memories. Comfort. Wonder. Strength. A quiet sense of connection.
